No, I think our European policy will be stated withint the next week and
it will be absolutely clear why we're going when we're going. I mean,
what preparatory work we want to do.

Okay. Now the only other thing that's bothering me and obviously, this
is not in your area but this bloody domestic thing, the whole Watergate
smear must be screwing things up and it has to be if only because it
diverts so much attention.
K:
Not yet.

No. Do you feel it's not fouling you up in any way yet ?
K:
No.

I must say that the evidence on the Hill
so far means that on substantive
issues, such as the vetos and so forth, it's held firm. I don't know how
that will be sustained
K:
It hasn't affected foreign policy yet as far as I can see.
T:
Not even in the reactions you're getting from foreign governments?
K:
I don't get reactions from foreign governments on that.

Yeah.

But it would be highly inappropriate if I did.
