TELECON Ambassador Scali/Sec. Kissinger March 6, 1974 12:50 pm S: Welcome back K: Thank you. S: You have been off in that part of the world SO much lately, I wondered if you thought of setting up a State Department there K: (Laughter) S: I just finished talking to Waldheim and he is very grateful for the information that has been provided to him on the middle East. So that if you can give him a call this afternoon. K: Either I or Sisco will give him a call. S: And thereby have additional amunition for him. I gave him the Egyptian/ Israeli agreement that you negotiated, Sisco sent it by special messenger, SO he has that and what he is interested in -- I have the feeling that he is under some pressure on this and he needs some additional information and he promises K: There is no additional information. Let's not be ridiculous. This is all. S: I understand it is, Henry but he also wants the appearance of the consultation in addition to the information SO that he in effect K: He is a
