So that he can say, in answer to expected questions\nand complaints about how the United States allegedly has elbowed the UN\naside in the Middle East and the UN is allegedly surrendering to the\nbilateral diplomacy. It just isn't so, that he is in constant contact\nwith the American representative here and indeed with you directly.\nAnd the wants to make this point very strongly because apparently there\nis increasing grumbling along the sidelines by some of the non-aligned\nand others who are accusing him of not pursuing a UN role vigorously\nenough.
