Dear Mr. Curry:
Your letter of July 30, addressed to President Nixon
in care of his former law firm in New York City,
has just come to my attention. In answer to your
inquiry, all correspondence to the President
should be addressed directly to the White House.
However, I am writing to advise that the President
has decided, reluctantly, that since he is unable to
devote attention to the more than one hundred organi-
zations and associations with which he was affiliated
prior to the Election last fall, he will be unable to
continue his membership with such organizations
during his tenure of office. Consequently, it would
be greatly appreciated if you would cancel his
membership in The Society of the Friendly Sons
of Saint Patrick in the City of New York for the
present time.
