Sen. Griffin said the bill "deserved to be vetoed.
it discriminates against radio and television but
sets no overall limits on campaign spending. I'm
confident the veto will be sustained.
"RN's veto of the first significant reform of campaign
finance laws in 50 years is the most flagrant example
of partisan interest we have witnessed" in the 22-year
existence of the National Committee for an Effective
Congress, the Committee's National Director,
Russell Hemenway, said. "The NCEC can conclude
only two real reasons behind a veto: A GOP
