Elgin Netional Watch Co.,
Elgin, Illinoise.
Attention - P. E. Stringer Director of Namufacturing
Gentlement-
We believe you will agroe that the articlo
sent you under July 21th on the subject of #Radio Active
Material an Industrial Hazard? shows that Dr. Finn
has gone into this subject more thoroughly than anyone
else. llis findings. however, are not final; and it has
occurved to us that since this subject is no important
it would bo most desirable for both the malcers and usors
of luminons material to have the study and experiments
carried on over a moch greater period of time. of courso,
to do thin requires a grant deal of time and somo money
and we wonder 19 you, as a large user of luminous material,
would be willing to contribute say $500. 02 $1,000, or any
reasonable amount, towards a fund that might pernit of a
continution of this splendid work.
It is estimated that a minimm of $5,000
will be necessary.
Yours very truly,
Prosident.
