July 21st, 1926.
Mr. R. H. Mithead,
Now Hoven Glook Co.,
New Haven, Conn.
Dear Mr. Whiteheadt-
We believe you will agree that the are
ticle sent you under July 21st on the subject of "Radio
Active Material an Industrial Hasard?", shows that Dr. Flinn
has gone into this subject more thoroughly thon anyone else.
His findings, howevor, are not final; and it has occurred
to us that sinco this subject is so important it would be
most desirable for both the maltors and users of luminous
material to have the study and exporiments carried on over
a much greater period of time. of courso, to do this rè-
quiros a great deal of time and some money and we wondex
if you, as a largo user of lurinous material, would be
willing to contribute a reasonable amount towards a fund
that might permit of a contimution of this splendia vork.
It is estimated that a minimuia of $5,000
will be necessory.
Yours vory truly,
President.
