Re: Hoare vs. U. S. Radium Corp.
H. H. Barker, Esq.,
Vice President, U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl St.,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Barker:
Herewith copy of letter from Dr. Humphries
dated April 26th, together with copy of our reply of the
28th.
You will note that he treated Mrs. Hoare back in
June, 1928, although he made no definite diagnosis of
radium poisoning. You will note that he also refers to
an unnamed girl whom he is treating now whose case, he
thinks, might be settled.
Will you please advise me whether you are in
agreement with what I said in my letter, namely, that per-
haps it would be wise for you to call to see Dr. Humphries
in regard to the matter. I also have in mind that perhaps
we might possibly work out a settlement along the line
heretofore considered in the Hoare case. All negotiations,
of course, should be without prejudice in the event of con-
test.
A prompt reply would be appreciated,
Very truly yours,
