Re: Ruth Saxer V. U.S.Radium Corporation
Dear Mr. Markley:
We have your letter of May 19th, regarding
interview with Mr. and Mrs. Saxer.
Since there is a strong probability that there is
no legal liability on our part, it seems to us that our offer to
settle with Mrs. Saxer for $5,000 is most generous, and therefore,
we would not be interested in offering her a larger sum. As a
matter of fact from a strictly business standpoint we would much
prefer that she instituted a suit, but of course, from a humanitarian
standpoint, if Mrs. Saxer is ill the $5,000 which we have offered
to contribute could probably be used to her advantage.
