Radium Coro. Dear Mr. Markley; I beg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 16th instant and in reply would say, that I an advised that Dr. Brothers examined Mrs. Madlinger some ten days ago. I have taken up the question of re-examination with Mrs. Madlinger and, as you know, she was exemined by Dr. Flinn on two occasions. The first time he found a very positive reaction to the radium tests and she does not feel that she should go through the ordeal of another examination, in view of the fact that two examinations have already been had and an additional examination by Dr. Brothers. As far as the testimonial examination is concerned, you are in possession of all the facts, and I do not see that it would serve any useful purpose at this time. In accordance with the last paragraph of your letter, I have discussed the question of settlement with Mr. and Mrs. Madlinger and, while they have been insistent upon receiving the same figure that was paid to Nrs. Tuck, they have finally agreed that the matter can be disposed of without further -1- -
