March 28th, 1934. Mr. George W. Pesinger, New Amsterdam Casualty Co., 60 John Street, New York City. Mr. W. H. Gelentine, RE: LUCY M. SULLIVAN Globe Indemnity Co., 150 William St., vs. New York City. UNITED STATES RADIUM CORP. Mr. Burton E. Emory, Aetna Life Insurance Co., 100 William St., New York City. Gentlement We hand you herewith copy of Summons and Complaint of an Action At Law instituted by Lucy N. Sullivan in the Federal Court for the District of New Jersey. Service was made on our statutory representative, the Corporation Trust Company, on March 24th, at 9:45 A.M. According to our employment record which seems com- plete, Miss Sullivan began work for us on August 21st, 1918, and left on February 19th, 1920. If these are the correct dates, this case falls within the period of time when our insurance carriers were the New Amsterdam Casualty Company and the Aetna Life Insurance Company. However, Miss Sullivan states in her Complaint that she was employed in the year 1917, and this statement raises the pos- sibility that she may have been employed during the time our in- surance was carried by the Globe Indemnity Company. Be ask that you give this matter your usual prompt attention, with the assurance that you can count on us for full cooperation in the defense of the suit. Very truly yours CBLee:DK President Enc.
