Show Me Around Again, Jimmie By WALLACE IRWIN (Tune- " Waltz Me Around Again, Willie") At the big Nassau Meeting the biplanes were fleeting And monoplanes whizzed through the air; When in costume quite dizzy came Gaby des Lizzie, Officially met by James Blair, Who led the committee with greetings SO pretty That Gaby was charmed as could be. Jim's pulses felt tingly, in fact he looked kingly, As thus spoke the girl from Paree: Chorus: "Show me around again, Jimmie, Around and round and round! Though ofttimes I'm sighing for deeds of high flying, I'm happy with you on the ground. Vous avez le grand air,, out o' sight, tres jolie! I can t keep from shouting, 'Encore, mon ami!' Lead me around again, Jimmie, Around and round and round!" Now Timothy Woodruff thought flying was good stuff, So Sunday he chose for the show; But the Bish of Long Island declared it was vile and Decreed Sunday flying must go. Brave Tim scorned the warning, SO one Sunday morning He got in an Antoinette flyer And dropped this good wish to the gloomy old Bish As he circled the top of the spire: Chorus: "Chase me away again, Bishop, Around and round and round! If saints fly like birdies, then why must McCurdies Spend Sundays attached to the ground? I feel like a lark in the midst of the air, I can't keep from shouting, 'Come up, if you dare!' Chase me around again, Bishop, Around and round and round!"
