I arrived here this morning with Mrs. Hitchoock to say
good-bye to our dnughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Shepley
who sail from here tomorrow for Liverpool, and Mrs. H. and I
will return to our cottage at Monadnock, N. H. tomorrow.
I have an urgent invitation to accept some salmon pools
in Canada from July 23rd to August 4th, but am hesitating about
accepting the seme lest matters should arise at Washington to
which you might desire me to give my personal attention. As
for instance the Rosewat or mattor and the situation in the Indian
Territory regarding which latter however I wrote you fully on
July 2nd advising you of having made, after conference with Judge
Ryann such arrangements and will I think correct the abuses
which wore referred to in ny letter of the 2nd. I am,
