Revision of Par. 3, Section 2, G.I. 228, G.H.Q provides as follows: Transfers made under the provisions of this order may be from one arm or branch of the service to another but such action is not recuired. Revision of Par. 2 of the same ordor provides - Commanding Genorals of a Division of a Corps, or en Arry or of the Service of E CARVES Supply efter offecting ell possible transfors within his \ Commend will transfer the remeining surplus soldiors othor than privatos withou's reduction in ronk or grade to the First Roplacement Depot citing this ordor OS authority for the transfer. Soldiers so transforred to the First Replacement Depot may be continued on duty with the organization to which they are attached and in such onsos will be absorbed in such organizations as soon as vacancies occur whon they will bo rogularly transforred from the First to the organization. In case of sorious disturbinae or any injury to French persons or proporty, roport will be made to A.2.M. at noarest statin and he will arrange wi th railroad authorities to sidctrack trein at first convenient place and return train and all occupants to point of dopart- ure. In all such cases report OI incident will be made by A.P concerned through P.M.G. to these headquerters and leave privileges for all reciments involved will be suspend- ed, This will bo road and explainca to all leave parties, before departure by special loave train.
