My dear Mr. Collett:
Please accept the President's thanks for
your letter of August third. He asks me to advise
you that on August thirteenth he approved H. R. 4497,
a bill "To create an Indian Claims Commission, to
provide for the powers, duties and functions # thereof,
and for other purposes."
