My dear Mr. Shain:
This is in response to your tele-
phone call to my office on November 30th.
I am very sorry that we cannot ar-
range for you to see the President while you
are stopping in Baltimore. I know I do not
have to tell you, however, how extremely busy
he has been for these past few months, and how
difficult he is finding it to see many of his
good friends, whom under more leisurely cir-
cumstances, he would so enjoy.
