My dear Miss Bucker:
The President has received your letter
of October nineteenth and appreciates your interest
in letting him have this expression of your views.
He asks me to advise you that on October seven-
teenth he returned S. 1407 to the Senate without
his approval.
I am sending you the enclosed copy of
the President's veto message for your ready ref-
erence.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
Miss Margaret Bucker,
433 McLeod Avenue,
Missoula,
Montana.
Enclosure.
