March 14, 1947 82-7 My dear Friends: This will acknowledge the receipt of your letter of recent date. In reply, I regret very much that 1t is not possible to send you the President's autograph. He is 80 busy these days with urgent official duties that it has become necessary for him to ask to be excused from complying with the innumerable requests for his signature.
