The President has received your
letter of January 6th and has asked no to
acknowledge it for hime Ho hopes very much
that you can cone to the Mair House during
your stay in Washington for the Insuguration

and play for hin. I an afraid there would
be no opportuni ty for hin to have this
pleasure on Inauguration Day, January 20th,
for as you know, his time is completely
taken If, however, you intend to be in
Washington on any of the days prior to or
following Jamaay 20th, I suggest that you
let me know and we will try to set a
mutually convenient time for you to call
on the Prosident.
At the President's direction I
have today asked the Inaugural Committee
to see tht you receive an invitation to
the Inaugural coremonies and I feol sure
this will be forthcoming ahortly.
