Possibility that US/Syrian relations will be resumed on Damascus stop noted by ABC/NBC On NBC film, HAK said RN was accepting invites because recent pacts have brought about a new US/Arab relationship HAK confirmed $100M aid request would go to Syria, a request he said he'd make of Hill if disengagement was agreed upon. All nets noted, CBS saying money would be earmarked for Kuneitra In its lead, NBC cited RN trip as one of a number of movements Tues. aimed at making the accord more permanent. Waldheim checking out buffer zone shown on ABC/NBC w/latter noting his optimism re: chances for peace. All nets w/UN troops moving in. Syrians are restrained toward accord, tho pleased fighting has stopped, reported ABC film Israeli distrust of Syrians noted by NBC film RN trip and M-E was #2 CBS; #8 ABC. - UPI leads: "Judiciary heard 3 tapes which appeared helpful to RN and damaging to 2 ex-AGs in matters connected w/ITT NBC briefly noted tapes upheld RN contention that he ordered RGK to drop suit as matter of policy, not because of any ITT contribution. And on ABC/CBS film, Fish (R-NY) said "sole basis" for ordering the dropping of action was RN's view that bigness per se wasn't grounds for anti-trust.
