Christopher Long from our staff spoke w/ Bernard Schwartz of Loral Corp. in Chicago during the convention about helping with Jack's race. Bernie expressed interest in helping with Jack's Senate race and asked that someone give him a call when he returns from Europe on September 15th. It has been suggested by a close mutual friend that Bernie would be very receptive to a request coming from the White House. Request: Please have Leon Panetta telephone Bernard Schwartz to ask him to raise $25,000 for Jack's Hanold Idea race. We have scheduled our last fundraiser in NYC on Tuesday, October 15th. We would be pleased if Bernie wanted to co-host this event, schedule his own event, or simply raise the funds w/out an event.
