Letter from Samuel Warren Wheeler, Prov[idence, Rhode Island], to William Lloyd Garrison, 1854 June 16
Samuel W. Wheeler writes to William Lloyd Garrison enclosing "the Minority Report to the Congregational Consociation of Rhode Island, which you may incline to publish." Wheeler says that "they hung up the matter another year but have passed some good Testimony in relation to slavery unanimously." In the postscript, he states "the Prov[idence] Journal is out in favor of executing the Fugitive Slave Law."
