THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
April 28, 1945
In
Dear Mrs. Roosevelt:
I am sorry that I have been so
long in thanking you for the little donkey
which you sent me for my desk.
He certainly is in a typical
mulish attitude and, as the President use
to say, when I have a hard decision to make
I will look at him, think of you and the
President, and then try to make the best
decision.
1
Sincerely yours
Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt
