Hagner, Position Finder Corporation, 1012 Navarro St., San Antonio, Texas, 12/9/41, to Miss Tully, enclosing six photographs of a Planetarium, which Mr. Hagner desires to present to the President for Christmas. One of the very 1m- portant functions of the Planetarium, during present world events, is the quick and accurate means of determing the distance between any two places on our earth up to five thousand miles without mathematics. DP UTRANSLATOR'S SUMMARY OF COMMUNICATION mpk KERR, Admiral Mark London, England November 10, 1941 Wrote to the President commenting on the increased religious feelings in Russia, since the President's appeal to Stalin to open the Churches of all denominations. Says he received a letter from Marian Johnson, and heard that Aymar was well again and had gone back to his work in Bermuda. Says she also sent him a copy of a letter she received about the Oxford Group. Admiral Kerr sent her & copy of the full Official Debates in the House of Lords and the House of Commons on this subject. Says these pamphlets show the strong feeling of the Heads of all the Churches, and the Peers in the House of Lords, in favor of allowing the Oxford Group to go on with their work. Mentions King George II of Greece, and encloses a copy of an address given by the Greek Prime Minister which shows how splendidly the troops, peasants, and their King behaved throughtout the perilous time after Germany attacked them. Also encloses a Christmas Card of his picture of Nelson, which is said by experts to be the finest picture of him that was ever made. In a post-script Admiral Kerr says he has just seen his cousin Lady Bettie Abingdon, who lately arrived from the U.S. and who said the Presi- dent and Mrs. Roosevelt were wonderfully kind to her on many occasions. Encloses a photograph of himself. Asks for a photograph of the President. - On Dec. 15, 1941, Mr. McIntyre sent a memo to the President asking if he wants to send a signed picture to Admiral Kerr. - On Dec. 15, 1941, the President wrote to Admiral Kerr thanking him for his letter, and for the enclosures. On the leather washer you will see a tiny hole, put a string through, knot the end of the string and be sure that the knot is bigger than the hole, bent the washer a little towards you put it in the hole then pull on the string till the washer flushes to the hole.
