Enclosure Estimate No. 94th Congress, First Session EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET WASHINGTON, D.C. 20503 March 28, 1975 The President The White House Sir: I have the honor to submit for your consideration an amendment to the request for fiscal year 1975 supplemental appropriations transmitted in the budget for the fiscal year 1976 in the amount of $240,000 for the Department of Commerce, as follows: 1976 budget 1975 supple- 1975 1975 appendix mental re- proposed Revised pages Heading quest pending amendment request 238 and Domestic and Inter- $1,180,000 $240,000 $1,420,000 1032 national Business Administration: Operations and administration This request is necessary for staff support of the Industry Advisory Committee program. The purpose of the program is to provide detailed industry advice and recommendations regarding U.S. and foreign trade barriers. The Trade Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-618) requires that this information be used in the formation of the U.S. negotiating position for the GATT negotiations. I have carefully reviewed the proposal for appropriations contained in this document and am satisfied that this request is necessary at this time.
