You don't know how very much I appreciated your good letter
of the Eleventh, and I am more than happy to have the situation
as you laid it out.
I rather think you are right about the situation regarding
T.J.
I
am also most happy that you had an opportunity to tell
the Phelps'. Les has had a terrible time, but I think he
wants to do the right thing.
I was terribly surprised at the situation in Kansas City. No
one could have made me believe that McElroy had gotten his
funds tied up in any way whatever. I really thought he was
a genius at finance.
When I get home we will have a talk-fest on the whole situation.
