Slight increase in enemy machine gun fire in nouthern half of sector, Enemy alert and apparently nervous in vicinity of nois de MANHEULLES. II. ENEMY FRONT LINE. No known change. III. ENEMY ORDER OF BATTLE. No known change. TV. ENEMY INFANTRY, Increase in intermittant machine gun fire. Otherwise no evidence of unusual activity. V. ENEMY ARTILLERY. Marked decrease in activity throughout sector. s/s BOUEE. 40 Cal. 77 on MESNIL. 10 Cal. 77 on Mont sous les COTES and 20 Cal. 105.in vicinity of P.C. BOUEE. Total for s/s: 50 Cal. 77 and 10 Cal. 105, s/s DERAMEE. Reports some activity from HERMEVILLE gr oup on back areas. Total s/s: 2 Cal. 77 and 12 Cal. 150. s/s TAVANNES: 50 Cal. 77 in vicinity of P.C. Small groups of men seen at points U-59.13, U-78.13 and U-38,62. At 16:40h narrow gauge train seen running from Le Grand TRENAR CONGNON to Le Petit CONGNON. NATIONAL ARCHIVES AND RECORDS VII. ENEMY WORKS. SERVICE'^ to None reported. VIII. ENEMY AERONAUTICS. Four single planes and three patrols of two planes report ed over sector. One plane dropped a bomb at T-65.74 in our lines, Another plane flew toward our line and fired machine gun into our trenches in s/s VAUX. Two balloons reported active in vicinity of FROMEZEY and GUSSAINVILLE. IX. WISCELLANEOUS. Several enemy signal projectors seen working in vicinity of ETAIN and points P-38,39 and U-38,49. Usual smokes, Slight increase in number of flares. At 0:25h sound of wagon on VERDUN-MET2 road at approximate point U-01,88. X. ACTIVITY OF OURMOWN TROOPS. Patrols - s/s BOUEE.
