(c) MACHINE GUNS, RIFLES, PISTOLS, ctc., in excess of
those to be carmied by the troops, will be thoroughly cleaned and
vell oiled. Thoy will be packed in boxes.
(d) FIRE CONTROL EQUIPMENT including tripods will be
carofully and securely packed in boxes.
(e) PERSONAL EQUIPMENT in excess of that to be carried
by the troops will be packed in boxes. only like articles will
be proked in any one box excopt that pistols and revolvers will
be preked in holsters.
() CERTIFIED LISTS vill bo prepered for all of the foro-
going articles, showing the amounts of each kind of equipment that
is turned in to the Ordn: nce Department. In rdditi n to these lists
each box, sack or other container will have attached to it 8 list
of the contents of such box or sack and designati n of unit turning
in the property.

The pr perty turned in by ench unit will be nccompanied
by a certificate from an officer of the next higher unit, stating
that he hes inspected the proporty, that it is clean, in the best
possible condition, and that it is proporly prepared for storage.
(h) Instructions vi 11 be given by the Chief Ordnance Officor,
Second Army, as to the destination f erch class of property.
8. Any property turned in to the Salvage Service by a unit
I the Division will bo accompanied by E. written statement from the
Commanding Officer of the unit, certifying that the property thus
burned in is unserviceable
9. Whon all property of the Division has boen disposed of in
accordance with instructi ns contained in this letter, you will
hollect duplicate certifiontes of inspection prepared for G-4 as
rentioned in paragraph E, covering all property turned in by the
Division, and deliver the same to the Demobilization Branch, G-4,
ocond Army, upon receipt of which the necessary steps will be taken
or the movement of the orgenizatic to Le Mens.
