ARTILLERY VEHICLES will be\nthoroughly cleaned end lubricated.\n(c) MACHINE GUNS, RIFLES, PISTOLS, ctc., in excess of\nthose to be carmied by the troops, will be thoroughly cleaned and\nvell oiled. Thoy will be packed in boxes.\n(d) FIRE CONTROL EQUIPMENT including tripods will be\ncarofully and securely packed in boxes.\n(e) PERSONAL EQUIPMENT in excess of that to be carried\nby the troops will be packed in boxes. only like articles will\nbe proked in any one box excopt that pistols and revolvers will\nbe preked in holsters.\n() CERTIFIED LISTS vill bo prepered for all of the foro-\ngoing articles, showing the amounts of each kind of equipment that\nis turned in to the Ordn: nce Department. In rdditi n to these lists\neach box, sack or other container will have attached to it 8 list\nof the contents of such box or sack and designati n of unit turning\nin the property.\n(\nE)\nThe pr perty turned in by ench unit will be nccompanied\nby a certificate from an officer of the next higher unit, stating\nthat he hes inspected the proporty, that it is clean, in the best\npossible condition, and that it is proporly prepared for storage.\n(h) Instructions vi 11 be given by the Chief Ordnance Officor,\nSecond Army, as to the destination f erch class of property.\n8. Any property turned in to the Salvage Service by a unit\nI the Division will bo accompanied by E. written statement from the\nCommanding Officer of the unit, certifying that the property thus\nburned in is unserviceable\n9. Whon all property of the Division has boen disposed of in\naccordance with instructi ns contained in this letter, you will\nhollect duplicate certifiontes of inspection prepared for G-4 as\nrentioned in paragraph E, covering all property turned in by the\nDivision, and deliver the same to the Demobilization Branch, G-4,\nocond Army, upon receipt of which the necessary steps will be taken\nor the movement of the orgenizatic to Le Mens.\nBy Command of Lieutens nt General BULLARD:\nPHILIP L.
