Expect to return by the middle of June. TOBIN Cited unemployment figures. Most serious is in woolen textiles in Mass. FLEMING There is some unemployment in construction field. THE PRESIDENT We are in good shape in evacuation of Americans in China. We have been handed a concurrent resolution on Deficiency Appropriation. Is faced with possibility of veto which will hold up payment of salaries. Reason for veto is the inclusion of legislation (Strauss- - Boke Rider) in an appropriation bill. ACHESON Dept. of State is studying advisability of putting out a White Paper on Chinese situation/
