My dear Miss Fox:
I am indeed sorry that we cannot do
as you. ask in your letter to the President.
Because of the many urgent duties that take
up every moment of his time, we are only
placing before the President requests that
are strictly of an official nature. I am
sure you will understand and will wish to
cooperate.
Very sincerely yours,
MATTHEW J. CONNELLY
Secretary to the President
Miss Annette Fox,
408 South Main Street,
Newark,
New York.
