LEE will see\nhim at 12:45 P.M.\n12:05pm\nCORCORAN to GEORGE KILLIAN of the Democratic National Committee.\nTOM said the problem of going with GEORGE to hear President\nTRUMAN speak was too complicated. He has too much to do. They\nwill have breakfast together tomorrow and at that time can talk.\n12:10pm\nMrs. BEHAN to Mr. TAUBE (Phon.) of the National Resources Com-\nmission, NA 4882, stating that Mr. YOUNGMAN wants to know what\ntime the appointment with KOPKEE and LAMMIE (both Phon. ) on\nThursday will be. TAUBE said their trains arrive late in the\nmorning. It was arranged that the meeting would be at 2:15 P.M.\nThursday.\n12:11pm JOE\n(\"just back from New York\") to CORCORAN stating that\nhe had some \"dope\" on the New York elections. He said that he\nwanted to talk to TOM before he talks with PATTERSON (Phon.).\nJOE will call or talk to TOM later today in any event. TOM said\nhe thought he would \"learn something today.' 11\n1:20pm\nDREW PEARSON to CORCORAN who is not in. CORCORAN will contact\nhim.\n1:50pm\nYAGER or YEAGER (Phon.), who is presently registered in some\nWashington, D. C. Hotel, to CORCORAN who is not in. He asked\nif Mr. SCHRAM who is apparently with the New York Stock Exchange-\nhad come to the office as yet and the stenographer did not\nknow. YAGER will be over to see CORCORAN this afternoon after\nlunch. O.K.\n2:20pm\nYAGER or YEAGER to CORCORAN asking if EMIL SCHRAM had called.\nAns: No. YAGER will check with CORCORAN later this afternoon.\n2:25pm\nCORCORAN to DREW PEARSON. The following conversation took place:\nC--I called you to tell you that we tried our God-damndest to\nget that thing pulled loose that morning, but it was too\nlate.\nP--I was afraid of that.\nC--Because we weren't able to get it out of the assistant below\nwhere it had been in so damn many small pieces. But I\nwant to tell you, he really tried. But you see, we were\nworking there with about an hour and a half. I went down\nmyself to see what could be done but we just couldn't pry\nit out in time.\nP--Well, I was afraid of that. I had talked to him about ten\ndays before. Did he tell you?"
