Do you realize that all the morning TV says the NSC is about Cambodia.
Z:
Yeah, and that's exactly what I didn't say, as a matter of fact we said
it wasn't. I saw that on the TODAY show and I've got Jerry cleaning
it up now. I also didn't say that Haig would ;meet with the President
today.
K:
Well, don't deny it too much now that it's been out. Just leave it alone
now.
Z:
I'll play it however you want, but I just want you to know that what I
said yesterday is I never discussed the subject and of NSC but
the thing returning the NSC and the President's trip to Camp David
are not related.
K:
Then that's just speculating
Z:
Yeah, and when I said that Haig was returning, he's been reporting
by cable to Kissinger and the President, and that he would meet with
the President and Kissinger would see him after he returned, but I
didn't know when that would be, and didn't necessarily know it would
be Thursday. But we can fake that any time.
K:
Well, we should have it, get Haig over here some time.
ZxK: Well, I'll have to talk to him anyway.
Z:
That's what I mean, but we can pry him in, right.
K:
Right, of course.
Z:
In other words, he'll come over here today to meet with the President
and you.
K:
Right.
Z:
I think it's good to get that out.
K:
Absolutely, you have to get that out. Okay.
Z:
Okay, well that's all it is.
K:
Good, thank you.
