THE PRESIDENT
FROM:

SUBJECT:
Textile Meeting - Milliken
Roger Milliken called Harry Dent over the
weekend to say it was important that he see you
today SO as to be sure you understood their
serious concern over the Taiwan textile
negotiations.
Dent felt John Mitchell would be an acceptable
alternative and Milliken has agreed to meet
with Mitchell, Dent, and me this afternoon.
Thus, the attached memorandum becomes
more urgent since I need your guidance on
how to proceed in that session, and, in
Korea, where David Kennedy now is.
I believe a brief discussion, perhaps with
both Harry Dent and me, is indicated.
