DINNER IN HONOR OF
CHOWDER AND MARCHING SOCIETY
April 4, 1974
7:30 p. m.
Dress:
Black Tie
Arrival:

7:30 p.m.
your guests will arrive and will be escorted to the
East Room for cocktails.

7:40 p.m.
you and Mrs. Nixon will proceed to the State Floor
by elevator
pause in the Grand Hall for Ruffles and Flourishes
and announcement
enter East Room as "Hail to the Chief"
is played
colors will be pre-positioned in East Room.
Receiving Line:
-- You and Mrs. Nixon will receive your guests from a position just
inside the entrance to the East Room
a Military Social Aide
will present your guests.
-- After receiving line, follow guests into State Dining Room.
Dinner:
-- Round tables
-- Strolling Strings will play during dessert.
-- Coffee, liqueurs and cigars will be served at the tables.
-- Army Chorus will perform.
-- As the dinner draws to a close, you will rise and make brief
remarks; you may then call upon others to speak -- remarks
will be recorded for the Presidential Archives only.
