BELL-GLOUCESTER 166 AND167 CABLE ADDRESS 'WELSBACH" GLOUCESTER CITY TELEPHONES KEYSTONE - MAIN 3880 3881 & 1539 EASTERN - GLOUCESTER 59 LIEBER WESTERN UNION OR C. CODE THIS SHIELD QUALITY OF STANDS FOR GENUINE Welsbach Wetsbach Company OUR TRADE MARK ON EVERY BOX RECEIVED 5 1925 LidneyMason, Houcester City President. L. February 4 1926 Mr. A. Roeder, President fieles United States Radium Corp. Corporation #30 Church St., New York City. Dear Mr. Roeder: You will recollect my telling you that apart from any liability under the State Compensation law, arising out of the death of our chemist, Mr. Buckley, we in- tended to continue to pay his salary to his widow for an in- definite period. Inasmuch as all applications to the Compensation Board must be made within one year, we are anticipating, from in- formation recently received, that the widow contemplates an action to have the Board pass on this case. What is the status of your Company in respect to the death of Dr. Lehman? As these two cases are more or less parallel, and as the outcome of the Board's decision is a matter of interest to both of us, I would suggest that in event of the above action arising we be prepared to present to the Board a joint de- fense. Dr. Miner expects to see you in New York tomorrow and you may find it opportune to discuss this matter with him. At any rate I want to inform you as to the possibilities in our situation and to know if you are prepared to acquiesce in a joint defense. Yours Veruey very truly, Union President. GAS MERICAL WE ASSUME NO RISK OF DELAYS DUE TO FIRES, STRIKES, DIFFERENCES WITH EMPLOYEES, BREAKDOWNS OF MACHINERY, DELAYS OF CARRIERS, WAR RISKS AND OTHER CONTINGENCIES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
