Dear Mr. Starkeys- Enologed herowith you will find an article entitled "Radio Active liaterial an Industrial Basard?", by Dr. Froderick 11. Flinn, Ph. D. Assistent Professor of Physiology in Industrial Hygiene, College of shysicians and Burgeons, Columbia University, which treats of the so called nocrosis" or radium poisoning cases. The investigution by Dr. Plinn, which formod the basis of his articlo, has been by far the most thorough and far roaching work undertalten on this subject. This article will appear in ono of the early issues of the Journal of the Amerion Medical Association. Milo it seems that the chazge of Bradium poisoning" caused the denth of several dris (which charge was widely advertised through the pross a fer months ago) is entirely unfounded, wa naturally hesitate - without further investigation - to malce the broad statement that radiwn in Ivminous material is unharmful, although tre bolieve this to be the dase. Thereforo, in order to be on the safe side, tre caution you, if you have not alroady done so, to order your operatore not to point their application brushos betweon their lips. theneror tre receive any further authentic information on the subject, we shall be glad to pass it along to you.
