Gentlemen: On Friday, Ney 16th and londay Bay 19th, Dr. Humphries gave se information by Thone with regard to the case shich he has under his anre, and which be oalled to our attention some little time ago. The patient's name is ars. Ruth Sazor (nea Ruth linters), and she claims that she was employed by us some tice during the summer of 1917, and that she quit our amployment in either Maroh or April 1321. Dr. Humphries states that ars. Sazer told hit that she first felt paine approxisately 3 yeurs after quiting our employment, and that these pains manifested theaselves first in her foot, then in the back and later in hor hips, and when ahe first caw Dr. Humphries it was necessary for her to use a cane in order to get about. Dr. Humphries feels that he has improved her condition by giving her relief, and that she is now able to welk without the aid of a cane. Howover, he furthor stated that he ia not at all satisfied that her improvement is of a pormanent nature for he is ofraid that some little ancident sigit causo a recurrence of her past con- ditions, and that thay night progress quite rapidly. From ty letter of May 95b, you will note that 1 gave quite in detail the discussion which 1 had with Dr. Rumphries on May 8th, pretaining to this case, as well as other casea. In talking with Dr. Homphries I auggested that we would probably like to make an electroscoule test on Its. Sazer, and De. folt that it could be arranged. It is our belief that wa should toke atepa to detercine the extent of the injury from which this moman is suffering, and if we find her to be a genuine case we should endeavor to effect e sobtlenent as soon as poscible.
