Re: lirs. Anna Stasi vs.
U.S. Radium Corp.
Gentlesen:
lie are berevith enclosing copy of a letter received
from Arthur DeVincontis, which is quite self explanatory.
In response to this letter I made en appointment to
sea DeVincentis on Saturday morning, November late
Rr. DeVincentis had with him e Ir. linnlon, who apparent
1y is associated with this case" Both Hanlon and DeVincentis
were advised that the conference was without projudico to either
side), and in no way could be considered as an admission of liability
on our part, but a meeting to ascertain note of the facts in the case,
and what they had in mind.
It developed that Stasi had been contributing to the
earnings of the family, but where or when she was employed or what
ahe earned, her counsol did not know - noither did they have complete
information at band rolative to other pertinont facts in the cesea
They did, however, state that thoir saking price in this case was
$15,000, indicating that they would probably settle for a much araller
At the close of the conference they agroed to supply us with
complote information relative to the facts in this case, perticularly
regarding where Lrs. Stasi had been exployed, and the amount ehe
esrned - also how long she had beon suffering, 08 well as medical
attention whidh she hed received and ezpense of sano.
As soon as we have this information I shall pass it on to
you, and it sould probably be advisable for na to have a conference
to discuss the possibility of settling the cose sithout court action.
Very troly yours,
HHBarker :RH
Vice President.
