Subject: New Child Care Table
Here is the new table that includes numbers for Head Start. The Head Start numbers show the
increment between the FY99 proposed increase in Head Start and Early Head Start as compared to
FY98 flatlined (FY98 flatlined is HS total of $4,355, Early HS = $279, Reg HS = 4,076). You
need to add the totals for Regular Head Start and Early Head Start in order to find the proposed
increase for the entire Head Start program. The proposed 5 year total increase in Head Start as
compared to FY98 flatlined is $3.8 (higher than what we were using yesterday).
