National Farmers' Union Convention, 7-8 March 1995
Milwaulkee, Wisconsin
On 17 February, I spoke with Clay Peterson of the National
Farmers' Union (303-337-5500) who said that the President of the
National Farmers' Union, Lee Swensen, who has been
extraordinarily supportive of the President and this
Administration, had invited the President to address the annual
convention of the Union 7 or 8 March 1995 in Milwaulkee,
Wisconsin. There will be approximately 1,000 delegates.
This organization has been very supportive of the President. I
will check with Senator Harkin as well as with others about
whether this should be given very serious consideration or not.
