A row of shops containing three bow-windows, over which are such inscriptions as (Wi)ndow Cleaner & Glazier... Earthenware, A. Black... Boot & Shoe Repairing. The middle shop is placarded with newspaper bills, Daily Record-Disaster at Sea, Daily Mail-Liberal Victory, &c. The time being Saturday afternoon, the street is enlivened by the presence of small children. On the part subsequently removed is the additional notice Lodgings for Working Men. Three first floor windows are very slightly sketched.
