1 Weather:
Multilayered clouds over all Korea, except that in the northwest
there were broken clouds. Visibility 6 to 8 miles. Forecast:
Multilayered clouds becoming broken late in the period. Visibility 6

2. Enemy Situation:
Stubborn hostile resistance to friendly patrols continued, with
heaviest fighting against the ROK Marine Regiment northeast of Yanggu.
Several small probing attacks were made near Kumhwa, Sohwa, and
one near the east coast. An undetermined number of enemy made an
unsuccessful attempt to ambush a 3d US Infantry Division convoy north-
east of Chorwon. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
a. General: Aggressive patrolling continued across the
front, with all hostile probing attacks repulsed. Some gains were
made by right flank elements of friendly units attacking northeast of
Yanggu, but heavy enemy pressure forced a slight withdrawal on the
