1. Weather:
Broken high, middle, and low clouds over all Korea. Visibility
10 miles. Temperatures 70 to 76 degrees F. Forecast: Scattered to
broken low and middle clouds. Visibility 3 to 5 miles. Temperatures
70 to 78 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Small enemy groups continued to probe friendly lines, particularly
in the Kumhwa area and northeast of Yanggu. Hostile screening units
offered light to moderate resistance to our patrols. An unidentified jet
aircraft strafed a friendly OP south of Pyonggang and a friendly jeep at
an unreported location. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND:
a. General: UN forces continued aggressive patrolling, ob-
serving and engaging numerous small enemy groups. The 25th US Infantry
Division (5th and 8th Cavalry Regiments and Thai Battalion attached) as-
sumed responsibility for the 1st US Cavalry Division sector in the I US
Corps zone, as the Cavalry Division (-) became Corps reserve. In the
X US Corps area, the 2nd US Infantry Division relieved the 1st US Marine
