1. Weather:
Clear, visibility good. Forecast: Multilayered clouds preceding a
cold front which will pass through Korea on 7-8 December. Visibility restric-
ted in snow flurries. Temperatures: 20 to 40 degrees. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
An eneray company probed 7th ROK Division positions east of the Pukhan
River, and smaller probing attacks were made elsewhere across the front, two
of which forced friendly outpost elements to withdraw. The adjusted total of
vehicle sightings for 4-5 December is 2, ,598, of which 306 were southbound,
and 1, 976 were northbound. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
a. General: UN forces repulsed light probing attacks and continued
to engage scattered enemy groups in patrol clashes across the front. Task
Force Paik continued to engage guerrilla groups in southwestern Korea.

b. I US Corps: The 1st ROK Division reported no change. Two enemy
squads attacked an outpost of the 1st British Commonwealth Division 13 miles
north of Munsan and forced it to withdraw to the MLR. Farther northeast,
patrols from the 3d US and 9th ROK Divisions engaged groups of squad and un-
determined size in their sectors northwest of Yonchon and north of Chorwon.
