1. Weather:
During the period 21 through 24 February, a cold front passed over Korea,
with associated multi-layeredcloud conditions and low visibilities. Maximum
battle area temperature averaged 35 degrees; minimum 15 degrees.
Clear weather is forecast for 25 February.
2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy activity was light throughout the period. Squad to platoon=strength
enemy groups launched scattered probing attacks against UN forces. In general,
enemy activity was limited to intercepts of UN patrols. Light to moderate
artillery fire was directed against several sectors of the front, the heaviest fire
failing on UN forces in the eastern sector. The adjusted total of vehicle
sightings for 21-24 February is 9, 783, of which 6,063 were southbound.

3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY
a. General: Light patrol contacts continued to characterize action across
the front. Scattered small-scale enemy probing attacks were repulsed. The
5th US Regiment (minus) closed at Inchon on 22 February and passed to operational
control of the 2d Logistic Command. On 23 February, the 25th US Division
(minus), with the Turkish Brigade attached, assumed responsibility for the 7th
US Division sector, and the 14th and 35th Regiments reverted to Division control.
The 27th Regiment (minus) closed in assembly areas northeast of Yanggu on
23 February and reverted to control of the 25th Division. The 17th Regiment
of the 7th US Division passed to operational control of the IX US Corps and
closed in the vicinity of Hwachon on 21 February. (FECOM) (SECRET)
