1. Weather:
Scattered high and middle clouds. Visibility less than 3 miles
along west coast. Maximum battle area temperature 43 degrees,
minimum 20 degrees. Forecast: Weather to remain the same. (FEAF)

2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy activity across the front2 except for a company-size probe,
was characterized by parol intercepts and minor probing efforts. The
adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 4-5 March is 1, 275, of which
831 were southbound. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
a General: UN forces continued to patrol across the front
meeting resistance from enemy groups from squad to platoon strength.
Several small-scale eveny probing attacks were repulsed. (FECOM)

b. I US Corps: The 1st ROK Division reported no contact with the
enemy in its sectos. The 1st British Commonwealth, 3d US, and 45th
US Divisions reported patrol clashes with enemy groups of up to platoon
strength. Ther. was no contact with the enemy in the 9th ROK Division

C. IX US Corps: Patrols of the 2d US, 2d ROK, 40th US, and 3d ROK
Divisions I'r ported engagements with enemy groups in squad or platoon
strength across the Corps front. An enemy company attacked outpost posi-
tions of the 2d ROK Division five miles northeast of Kumhwa.. The enemy
was forcet to withdraw. An undetermined number of enemy fired on posi-
tions of the 40th US Division southeast of Kumsong, (FECOM) (SECRET)
