P. 18/39 16 1 individual employed by (or who has a commitment for 2 employment from) a licensed or registered child care 3 provider- 4 # (i) COST SHARING.-The individual's employer 5 must pay d share of the cost of the education or 6 training. 7 - (ii) EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATION.-The 8 individual's employer must agree to provide У increased financial incentives to the individual, 10 such as a salary increase or bonus, when the 11 individual completes the education or training. 12 " (3) QUALIFYING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.-The State 13 plan shall specify the types of educational and training 14 programs for which scholarships granted under the State 15 program may be used, which shall be limited to (but may 16 include any or all) programs that- 17 " (A) are administered by institutions of higher 18 education that are eligible to participate in student 19 financial assistance programs under title IV of the 20 Higher Education Act of 1965; and 21 "(B) that lead to a State or national credential 22 in child care or early childhood or early childhood 23 special education, or to an associate or bachelor's 24 degree in child development or early childhood 25 education. 26 H (4) ANNUAL MAXIMUM SCHOLARSHIP GRANT AMOUNT.-The
