Gentlemen: The above case after argument on Tuesday, March 8th was set specially for trial for Monday, June 13, 1932. I am to receive definite word on Monday, March 14th as to whether our offer in settlement of $3000. is to be accepted. If it is not we shall then have to prepare for trial for June 13th. Mrs. Hoare's condition, according to her physician is serious. I had a chance to talk to her and to see her physical appearance. She has the typical appearance of the girls who in the past have appeared as radium victims. She is thin, emaciated, nervous, her lips quiver and her hands shake. She talks in a stuttering sort of way and seems to have no physical energy. She can only stand up for a few moments at a time and then has to sit down. I was observing her when she did not know I was doing so, while she was in the corridor on two different occasions when I was in the Court House on this matter.
